On Wednesday, they will take the actual test. Please remind them to study both Monday and Tuesday! They will have a sheet for you to sign. This is the last BIG grade of the year! Thursday, the students are on a field trip. Friday, the students will be working on an artistic representation of what they have learned this year in science. The A to Z poster is a fun culminating project!
Homework For May 15 Monday: study, signed sheet Tuesday: study, signed sheet Wednesday to Friday: None On Monday (May 22), the students will be finishing their A to Z poster. On Tuesday and Wednesday, they will be taking their final exam. The students will be drawing a diagram and explaining the following: solar eclipse, reason for day/night, rock cycle, phase changes, Newton's Laws, and the Water Cycle. I will give them a copy of the final exam on Monday to take home. They may make a 3 by 5 notecard (or 3 by 5 piece of paper) to use on the actual final. They may have a separate notecard for each day. Final exams are my way to reflect on what the students have mastered from my teaching, and are a reflection tool that helps me to improve. Final exams will not hurt student grades. Homework for May 22 Monday: prepare notecard for final exam Tuesday: prepare notecard for final exam Wednesday to Friday: None
