There is no school Monday (Memorial Day). Tuesday, students will have their final weather quiz. They have a study guide to prepare over the weekend. Wednesday and Thursday is the final exam. The final exam will ask them one question from each unit (ex: Draw a diagram of the rock cycle.). The info for the final is below!

Students will be exploring the ocean and ocean currents this week. They will discover how ocean currents can affect weather over land.

Students will quickly review density (which they learned in geosciences) and apply the concept of density to understanding weather. They will also explore the difference between weather and climate.

Monday is the notebook quiz for the Chemistry unit! There is nothing they need to study - the quiz purely gives them a chance to receive credit for all their hard work in their notebook. We will start our final unit, weather, on Wednesday.

I will not be here Monday and Tuesday - however, Mr. Schaefer (a retired science teacher) will be subbing so business will go on like usual! Students will have a quiz on Tuesday with a study guide to prepare Monday night. Thursday is the second district common assessment. We will complete the study guide on Wednesday and students will be asking for parent signatures confirming that they studied for at least 30 minutes. Friday we will start our weather unit!
