Students will first spend about 3 weeks studying Forces and Interactions. They have a preprinted science notebook that they will be recording their learning in. Science class is largely inquiry based learning - students complete various labs and activities to discover the material themselves. Students will also be developing groupwork skills in science that will not only help them in other contents, but also real life! I've attached the powerpoint for the first 9 days of science. Each day is dated so it is easy to follow along! This week in particular, the students will be focusing on calculating distance, calculating speed, determining if an object is accelerating, and exploring Newton's first law. Notice the first quiz is Tuesday - students have detailed study guides exactly aligned with the quiz to study! For Tuesday's quiz, they need to study both the study guide and the exit slip. Please, please, please, make sure they do this! I will post the study guide and exit slip online this weekend as well. Homework:
