We have mastered fractions and are now working on operations with decimals! I've included a cheat sheet below which is a great reference tool.
Ms. Lindsey is still working with the textbook company to try to get the online access problem solved - apparently it is a school wide problem and not just my classes. I'll keep you posted! Homework:

This week students will complete their study of fractions! They will first model and explore the process of dividing fractions. Once they have mastered that skill, we will practice all three operations with fractions. The quiz is Friday and students will have a study guide to review Thursday night.
Parents - please make sure they are not just plugging them in the calculator. They should not be using calculators at this time. I've included a link below in case they need additional practice at home. Homework
Students are continuing their study of fractions by learning how to multiply fractions. We are also continuously working on simplifying fractions and converting them to a mixed number. I added a graphic as a quick reminder about simplifying fractions below!
Homework: Monday: page 232 (9-19) Tuesday: Riddle Worksheet Wednesday: page 214 (1-28) Thursday: worksheet Friday:none Monday is the quiz! The quiz covers GCF, LCM, distributive property, and rounding decimals. I've attached the study guide below (which students have!). The quiz is very similar to the study guide, only with different numbers! The rest of the week, students will begin studying adding and subtracting fractions. As you help your child on homework, constantly remind them to simplify fractions!
