This week, students will be exploring GCF and LCM and how to use them to solve story problems. They will then use factors to apply the distributive property to break problems down.

Monday and Tuesday, we will be reviewing concepts that were missed on the unit test, specifically graphing rates and ratios.
Wednesday, we start our second cycle in math. To begin, we will do a 1 day review of addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Students will then begin exploring factors and greatest common factors. Homework
Accelerated Math (1st period) will be working on ratios with fractions as well as scale drawings this week.
Second and third period math will be working on practicing percents with proportions as many students still need help with that skill. Homework: Students DO NOT need to do Moby Max minutes this week! There are none due on October 13.
Monday, students will be finishing their restaurant project in which they apply what they have learned with proportions to calculate totals and tips.
Tuesday, we will work on the study guide to prepare for Wednesday's unit test! Thursday, the students will be in the computer lab working on an online ratio and proportion activity. Homework:
We will start the week by wrapping up solving percent problems using proportions. Students will then use proportions to complete measurement conversion. There is a quiz on Wed but as always, they will have a study guide to prepare Monday and Tuesday night!
Homework
Students worked on the Moby Max Math Placement test in math class today. Some students did not finish and need to finish this weekend at home. All the login information is stapled to the first page of the agenda. They know they are done with the Placement test when the screen background goes from blue to green. If it is green, they are good to go!
